Spiritual Emphasis

Chapel

Chapel is a vital part of student life at First Baptist Academy and serves as a weekly opportunity for spiritual growth and encouragement. Students gather for Christ-centered worship, biblical preaching, and practical instruction from God’s Word, helping them develop a deeper relationship with the Lord and a strong foundation for life.

Through faithful preaching, worship, and opportunities for student involvement, chapel challenges young people to grow in their faith, develop biblical convictions, and live out the truths of Scripture in their daily lives. More than a weekly service, chapel is an intentional investment in the hearts of students as they are encouraged to know, love, and faithfully serve Christ both now and in the future.

Student Prayer Group

At First Baptist Academy, we desire to help students develop a genuine and personal walk with the Lord. Our student-led prayer group meets each Tuesday and Thursday, providing opportunities for students to pray for one another, their school, their families, and the needs around them.

These gatherings encourage spiritual growth, leadership, and a deeper dependence on God as students learn to make prayer a consistent part of their daily lives. Through this ministry, we seek to cultivate hearts that earnestly seek the Lord and grow together in faith and unity.

Camp Sparta Youth Retreat

Each year, First Baptist Academy attends Camp Sparta, a youth retreat for students in grades 7–12 designed to strengthen their walk with the Lord. Through dynamic Bible preaching, Christ-centered worship, outdoor activities, and a meaningful testimony bonfire, students are encouraged to grow spiritually, build lasting friendships, and make personal decisions for Christ.

Camp Sparta provides a unique opportunity to step away from daily distractions and focus on developing a deeper relationship with God. Our prayer is that every student returns with renewed faith, stronger convictions, and a greater desire to live for Christ each day.
