A Foundation for Faith and Learning

Little Cubs Pre-K

Located on the main campus of First Baptist Church of SW Broward, in the heart of Cooper City, Little Cubs Preschool has been nurturing young learners since 2021, founded on strong biblical principles of child care and development.

We use the Abeka for Preschoolers curriculum, building early skills in language arts, numbers, and Bible, to fully prepare children for Kindergarten and future grades in a fun, engaging way.

We offer full-time, year-round care for 4-year-olds, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 3:00 PM.

Sarah Sibert

Pre-K Director

Sarah Sibert serves at First Baptist Academy and First Baptist Church as Preschool Director, Nursery Director, and Hospitality Director. She is also a pastor’s wife and mother of three.

In her roles, she oversees preschool and nursery ministries, helping maintain a safe, nurturing environment while working closely with parents and volunteers. She also leads hospitality efforts, coordinating meals and care for new mothers and families in need.

Above all, Sarah is passionate about serving children, families, and her church community with a Christ-centered heart, supporting the church’s mission while encouraging faith and family growth.

Elementary

A Nurturing Foundation

The Elementary School at FBA provides a warm, Christ-centered environment where students are encouraged to thrive. We are committed to academic excellence through a Biblical worldview, nurturing both the hearts and minds of our students from the very beginning.

Jeannie Taggart

Elementary Principal

Jeannie Taggart joined First Baptist Academy in 2017 and serves as Elementary Principal. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies and Church Leadership and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, combining her passion for Christian education, her love for children, and her desire to serve the Lord in her daily work.

A lifelong member of the community where she now serves, Mrs. Taggart considers it a privilege to invest back into the area that helped shape her faith and life. She finds great joy in seeing students grow academically, spiritually, and personally, and in watching former students mature into young adults who love the Lord and pursue His purpose for their lives.
